Johnson Design has completed multiple feasibility studies for new build and refurbishment projects for community Primary Healthcare Facilities for GPs. Many GP Practices are new looking to adapt and offer an increased NHS service, meeting local primary healthcare requirements, meaning they are eligible for extra funding from bodies such as NHS England.
Existing facilities are diversifying, to create a ‘single access point’ for patients and engaging with a range of healthcare professionals to build wellbeing hubs at the heart of communities. The increased range of services will provide solutions for mental, social and physical health issues.
We ensure that all design work complies with Healthcare Building Notes (HBN), the guidelines that govern all construction work for the sector.
Projects look at improving and providing additional facilities, such as adding consultation rooms, improving accessibility internally and externally and creating welcoming entrance/lobby spaces.
